IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynn
Corbin
December 27, 1943 – December 7, 2021
Lynn Neal Corbin was born on December 27, 1943 to Hildred Juanita and Richard "Jack" Binkley Corbin in Springfield, Missouri. He passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family.
Lynn graduated from Willard High School and attended Southwest Missouri State University and Drury College. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1963, training at Fort Benning and Twenty-Nine Palms, achieving the rank of Sergeant.
Lynn wore many hats. He was first of all a Christian and a member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. He was a loving husband to Tammy for 56+ years. To this union was born one daughter, Tracye, the light of his life. Tracye married Toby Ziegler and to this union a grandson Aidan was born. Aidan named his granddad Papa and was Papa's pride and joy.
Lynn lived a full life, some highlights of his life include the fact he was proud to serve his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He was a successful businessman for many years. He enjoyed traveling, boating, camping, shooting and reading. He enjoyed traveling and many wonderful trips traveling with family and friends, including the new ones he made along the way. He was also known for his love of baseball, particularly the St. Louis Cardinals, whom he cheered on enthusiastically.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Tammy, daughter, Tracye and her husband, Toby Ziegler, and their son, Aidan Corbin Ziegler, all of Springfield, as well as his brother Myron and his wife Debra, of Citrus Heights, California, sister-in-law Karen Fesperman of Springfield, nephew Brent Fesperman, wife Renee and their children Landon and Landry of Rogersville, Missouri, nephew Bart Fesperman, wife LeaAnn and their boys Logan, Dylan and Ryan of Phoenix, Arizona, uncle Bud Corbin of Willard, Missouri, cousin Betty Glinn of Everton, Missouri, cousin-in-law Kenny and wife Peggy Bowser of Sunnyvale, Texas, many Corbin and Lafon cousins and many more family and friends scattered throughout the United States.
We would be remiss if we didn't mention his very favorite past time of resting constantly and contentedly in his recliner with his dear Boston Terrier on his lap.
Celebration of Life Services honoring Lynn will be Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at First and Calvary Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Missouri with a luncheon following at the church.
