Joyce Lynnette "Lynn" Copelin

Lynn Copelin, age 63 of Springfield, Missouri, went home to be with her Savior on Friday, January 21, 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer she fought with dignity and grace… and a smile on her face. She was much loved by her family and friends, as well as the friends she made into family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Lynn was born Joyce Lynnette Cobb on May 13, 1958 in Sacramento, California to Rev. Oran and Joyce Cobb. Her precious mother, Joyce, joined her in heaven just 12 hours after she entered. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Dan Copelin; daughter Danielle (Justin) Harris of Springfield, Missouri; son Wesley (Kala) Copelin of Rayford, North Carolina; grandchildren Gabby, Anthony and Addie Harris, Veda and Edie Copelin; brother Steve (Tani) Cobb of Reeds Spring, Missouri; sister-in-law Gloria Cobb; and many nieces and nephews.

Lynn is preceded in death by her father, Oran Cobb; brothers Tom and Doug Cobb; and granddaughter Jocelyn Grace Harris.

Lynn worked with her husband, Dan, as a realtor for Opportunity Realty for nearly 20 years and was later joined by their daughter, Danielle.They have served many clients well during that time. She always went above and beyond for her family, friends and clients. As a longtime member of Second Baptist Church, she served as a Stephen Minister for several years and helped coordinate their monthly foot care clinic.

Lynn was the most genuine person you will ever meet. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or listening ear to anyone… without judgment.  She will be greatly missed by so many.

Visitation will be held at Second Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 25th, 5-7pm.  Funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 26th at 10:00am also at Second Baptist Church with burial to follow at Greenlawn North Cemetery.
