Obituary

Lucille Sharp, 91, Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 15 th , after a short illness.

Lucille was preceded in death by her father, Frank Riley Grant; mother, Sylvia Agnes Roush Grant; husband Donald Addison Sharp; sister Jane Annette Garoutte; and son in law, Tommie Ray Myers.

Lucille is survived by her four children, daughter Bridgett Sharp Myers, sons Duncan Myers, Ryan Myers, and Brett Myers; daughter Rebecca Sharp Eidson, husband Brad Eidson, daughter Sara Eidson, Jerod Ostermeier, and son Grant Eidson; daughter JoAnnette Sharp; and son Frank Sharp, wife Cynthia Hardie Sharp, daughter Meredith, and son John Sharp. Lucille is also survived by her older sister Glendal Grant Randle, and great grandchildren Madison Myers, Will Myers, Annie Ostermeier, and Maggie Ostermeier. Lucille is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Lucille grew up in Mountain View, MO, graduated from Mountain View High School, and on April 16th, 1950, married Donald A. Sharp, also from Mountain View. Don worked in the Sharp family business, and Lucille owned a retail clothing store early in their marriage. In 1963, Don and Lucille moved to Lee's Summit, MO, and settled in Springfield, MO in 1966 to raise their family and work to retirement. Don and Lucille were surrounded by many friends and family as they celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary in 2000.

Lucille was a member of Eastern Star in Mountain View, MO, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, in Lee's Summit and Springfield. After retiring from a long career in retail, Lucille volunteered her time at the American Cancer Society, and Cox Hospital Gift Shop. Lucille was an avid bridge player and loved being a member of several bridge groups. She also added family travel, knitting, needlepoint, and cross stitch to her retirement hobbies.

Lucille will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends. A memorial service will be held at King's Way Methodist Church, 2401 S. Lone Pine Ave, Springfield, MO, Friday, April 7 th , 4:30 PM.
