Lucille Elaine "Lucy" Haynie, 94, of Springfield, passed away at 9:28 pm Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Mercy Hospital. She was born December 11, 1920 in Charleston, Miss. to Prince F. and Ana Belle Allison Lilly, the 7th of 8 children. Lucy attended High School in Charleston, and later attended Southern Mississippi University. While working at Union Planters Bank in Memphis, she met her husband, Hoyt R. Haynie, who was serving in the US Air Force. They were married Dec. 23, 1950 and lived for many years in El Dorado, AR, and later in Little Rock. She had also worked at the Pentagon during WWII, and later in life owned and operated a Ladies Dress Shop and Boutique. After her husband died April 11, 1995, Lucy moved to Springfield in 2000. She attended James River Church South Campus. Lucille never met a stranger and dearly loved her family. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Zimmerman (Rick) of Springfield, and Sandra Baldwin (Dan) of Atlanta, GA; two nieces, Rena DaTone and Winnie Ruth Buchannan, both of Mississippi; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Ryan) Maddox, Alison (Tim) Crawford, Kellie (David) Stauffer, Drew Baldwin, and Kristie Zimmerman; and six great-grandchildren, with a seventh on the way. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, March 18, at the James River South Campus Clark Chapel. Burial will be at 11 am on Thursday, March 19, at De Ann Cemetery in Prescott, Arkansas.
