Lucille Lola Halls, 87, Springfield, MO passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 in Mercy Hospital. She was born on May 1, 1926 near Cabool, MO to Samuel Esty and Edna Lunsford Ellis. After graduating from Cabool High School in 1944, Lucille moved to California where she met and married her husband, Henry L. Halls on April 11, 1970. She and Henry spent 12 years in Denver, CO and then retired to Cabool, MO in 1983. In 2000, they relocated to their current residence in Springfield, MO. Lucille and Henry are presently members of Second Baptist Church in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters, Mildred Oxley, Leona Knapp, Delmar Ellis, Violet Curtis, Elmer Ellis, and Winford Ellis. She is survived by her husband, Henry Halls; two step-daughters; sister, Ernestine Reese; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11:30am in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30am until service time in the funeral home.
