Lova Jean Mullins, 89, of Springfield Missouri, passed away peacefully on the early morning of June 27, 2016.

Jean was born in Springfield, Missouri on December 16, 1926 and graduated from Fordland High School. She worked at Thomas Market and retired from Mercantile Bank. She and her sister were long-time members of Dale Street Methodist Church, and Jean volunteered at Mercy Hospital for 12 years.

Jean is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Mullins, mother Inez (Clouse) Mullins, and sister Lorene Mullins. Jean is survived by deep long-time friends, Kay Burton, Shirley Good, Stan and Jan Smith and was loved dearly by Amy S. Bretall. Jean has two second-cousins, Linda Bowman in California and Sandra Paul in Louisiana. Through them, her spirit will continue to honor God's will.

Service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with visitation at 10:30 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery near Fordland, MO.
