Louise Sunderman passed away February 1, 2013. She was born in Charleston, MO on November 20, 1927 to Ben and Mary Stricker. April 8, 1953, she was married to Melvin Sunderman. They had three children: Joe (Donna) of Elkland, MO, Cathy (Tom) Schwegel of Nesbit, MS and Mary of Springfield. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Jacob (Jessica) Schwegel of Olive Branch, MS, Chad (Suzanne) Sunderman of Nixa, Carrie (Bret) Lipscomb of Nesbit, MS, Casey Sunderman of Rogersville, MO; five great-grandsons: Cade and Cohen Sunderman, Finley and Lincoln Schwegel and Sylas Lipscomb; and sister, Isabelle Kirn of Cape Girardeau, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and three brothers. They moved to Springfield in 1970 from Cape Girardeau. She retired with Emeritus status in 1988 from SMSU Health Center. She was an active member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. A visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Msgr. Thomas Reidy, Celebrant under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
