Louise Mae Jurgens, 87, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at 12:15pm on October 24, 2012 in Springfield, Missouri. Born Louise Crenshaw on September 13th, 1925 in Albemarle County, Virginia, one of five children born of Charles Edwin and Maude Ada Crenshaw, Louise married Francis M. Jurgens on January 30th, 1948 at MacDill Field Chapel in Florida. She always considered her greatest achievement to be serving as a wonderful loving and caring mother raising six children while traveling the world for 25 years as an Army wife. Both while and after raising her children, she served over 30 years volunteering for the Red Cross and many years in Springfield for St. John's Mercy Hospital. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church since 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband, father and mother as well as brothers Paris E. Crenshaw, Harry Lee Crenshaw, and Benjamin Z. Crenshaw; son-in-laws Daniel Roberts and Ron Tayon; and daughter-in-law Lisa Jurgens. She is survived by sons Kenneth M. Jurgens and wife Bridgett of Ohio, Patrick M. Jurgens and wife Brenda of Archie, MO, Jerome M. Jurgens and wife Rhonda of Rolla, MO, and David E. Jurgens and wife Elizabeth of Fayetteville, AR; daughters Charlene M. Roberts of Columbia, MO, and Diane M. Tayon of Winfield, MO; sister Ada Marie Kindrick and husband Alan of Earlysville, VA; fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, October 27, 2012 in Immaculate Conception Church with the Reverend Lewis Hejna, Celebrant.
