Louise Dreps, age 80, of Springfield, MO passed away at 7:00pm Wednesday July 25, 2012 in Mercy Hospital. Louise was born July 28, 1931 in Moberly, MO. to the late L.E. McBride and Erma Bartee McBride. She attended H.S. in Fulton, MO where she also met and married her husband of nearly 50 years Irl Dreps. They lived in Jefferson City from 1959-1977 then moved to Springfield, MO. She was a member of South Street Christian Church and volunteered at Mercy Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Irl G. and sister Bonnie McBride. She is survived by one son Kevin (Karla) Dreps, Lake Ozark, MO; one daughter Karen Uhr, Springfield, MO; one brother Dennis (Carol) McBride, Omaha, NE; and three grandchildren Cody and Kayla Dreps and Justin Uhr. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday, July 30, 2012, at South Street Christian Church with the Reverend Janet Given officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to South Street Christian Church.
