Obituary

Louis M. "Bud" Page passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the age of 78. He was born April 10, 1935 near Hartville in Wright County the son of Ray Page and Esther (Lewis) Page. Louis spent his early childhood in that area and attended grade school at Dry Branch one room school. The family moved to the Grovespring area in 1949 and Louis attended Niangua High School and graduated class of 1953. Louis was united in marriage to Bonnie May Crawford April 25, 1954. Three children were born to this union. After High School graduation, Louis moved to Wichita, Kansas where he was employed by Boeing Aircraft as a sheet metal worker and later as a tool and die maker. Louis also worked many weekends and evenings as a parking lot attendant for Central Auto Park in downtown Wichita. The family moved to Marshfield, MO in 1966. Louis began working for Kraft Foods in 1971 as a maintenance Supervisor. After retiring from Kraft in 1992, Louis worked for the mechanical technical division of F&H Food Equipment Company. Louis liked camping, hiking, deer and turkey hunting and just being outdoors. Louis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his hunting cabin in Ozark County and especially time with his grandchildren. Louis was a fan of NASCAR racing. Louis and Bonnie liked traveling and taking winter vacations to California and Arizona. Louis was proud of the fact that at age 75 he was one of the oldest people to make the strenuous climb to the top of Picacho Peak near Tucson, AZ. Louis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bonnie; sons, Brennan Page of Springfield, Louis Page, Jr. and wife Tracey of Holts Summit; daughter, Marcia Trainor and husband Ranny of Springfield; grandchildren, Ashley Page of Ozark and Nick Page of Vienna; brothers, Frank Page of Grand Junction and David Page of Marshfield; sisters Mildred Thompson and Mary Sanders of Springfield and Louetta Bushdiecker of St. Charles; two aunts, Pauline Windsor of Panama City, FL; Virginia Austin of Mineola , TX; a special cousin, Gwyn Milner of Mineola, Texas; several nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends. He will always be in our hearts. Visitation will be Friday, August 30, 2013 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:00am in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
