Lori Beth Pippin, 39, passed away unexpectedly on February 16th, 2016 in Ashland, Oregon after a brief illness. Lori was born in Springfield, Missouri on June 14th, 1976. She is survived by her loving mother, Ann Pippin and her loving father and step-mother, Don and Annie Pippin, her brother Bryan Pippin and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and many life-time friends including Danny Steele, Brooks Eakett, Jodi Sage, Lauren, Greg and Indigo Brown (Goddaughter), Larry Coble and Jennifer Murnan-Dinamarca. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Aileen and Oren Eagleburger and Don Pippin, Sr.; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Rook and her Uncle Dean Walls.
She graduated from Glendale High School in 1994 and attended Southwest Missouri State University. She was also a member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church. In 2003, Lori moved to Ashland, Oregon and quickly made it her home, easily making friends and a life for herself. Lori stayed close to her Missouri family and talked to them often, making trips home a couple of times a year. She worked for Young's Market Northwest for almost ten years where she became very knowledgeable in her field.
Lori was kind to everyone she met, and was known for her generosity. She never knew a stranger as she could strike up a conversation with just about anyone! Best remembered for her infectious laughter and optimistic outlook on life, Lori lit up every room she entered. A lover of music, especially Wide Spread Panic , dancing, traveling, cooking, hiking and floating, Lori loved to be surrounded by her friends and take on new adventures. She was fearless!
Lori was the light of her parents' lives, and her family and friends meant the world to her. She was such an easy person to love and spending time with her was always so much fun.
Funeral services will be performed at First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., which is located at 820 East Cherry in Springfield with Rev. Dr. Andrew Chaney officiating. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service in the church.
A celebration of Lori's life is scheduled to take place in Ashland, Oregon at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield, MO, 949 E Primrose St, Springfield, MO 65807.
