Loretta Rogers, 81, Springfield, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012. She was born February 16, 1931 in Niangua, Missouri to Owens and Hallie Mikkelsen. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Al Rogers. Loretta moved to Springfield and worked for the Frisco eating house as an original Harvey girl. Al and Loretta owned The Diamond Shoppe for over 25 years. She is survived by her daughter, Shawn; grandson, Greg and his wife Jeri; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Chase; and many other family members and friends. Private graveside services will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation is planned for Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
