Loren M. Stout, 94, of Springfield, passed away on August 24, 2022. He was born January 29, 1928 in Pittsburg, MO to James Walter and Mabel Myers Stout. A 1946 graduate of Bolivar High School, he earned a Business Degree from Drury College and a Master's Degree of Hospital Administration from the University of Missouri. He worked in several hospitals across Missouri, including St. Louis, Smithville and Windsor. He married Emily Rose Barry on April 6, 1952 and they enjoyed 70 years of marriage together.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield. He enjoyed traveling and was a life long St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Loren was extremely proud of his military service as an Army Sergeant during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Willard Stout and daughter, Diane Stephens.

He is survived by his wife; sons Jim (Barbara) Stout of Kansas City, MO and Rodney (Marlene) Stout of Gallipolis, OH and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
