Lonnie R. Jump, 72 of Springfield passed away Friday, May 20, 2016. He was born November 26, 1943 in Bolivar, MO to the late Adrian and Ruth (Keith) Jump. He graduated from Bolivar High School and retired from the Springfield Fire Department in 1993.

He married Linda Muench on May 22, 1970 and would of celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on Sunday. Two sons were born to this union, Lonnie Robert Jump, Jr. and Lance Allen Jump.

He was a member of Twin Oaks Country Club not only for the golf but to play cards with the guys. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and Wesley United Methodist Church.

Lonnie lived life to the fullest everyday, he enjoyed not only golf and playing cards, but fishing, and most of all spending time with his grandsons.

PaPa never missed Owen's ballgames and was looking forward to watching Ryker's activities.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; son, Rob and wife, Lari; son, Lance and wife, Stephanie; two grandsons, Owen and Ryker; sister, Adranna and two sisters-in-law, Sandra Kerr and Nancy Phelan.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11 AM in Wesley United Methodist Church under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation and celebration of Lonnie's life will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Twin Oaks Country Club.
