Lois Sybil Young, 89, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 3:15 a.m.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Young; her parents; and two brothers. She was born on March 23, 1927 in Mansfield, Mo., to Floyd and Frankie Hale. She was united in marriage to Jesse Young June 23, 1944. She professed her belief in Christ at an early age and was a member of Eastern Gate Freewill Baptist Church for over 30 years.

She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Smith & her husband Jim of Claremore, Okla.; daughter, Sarah Conner of Springfield; son, John F. Young of Grady, Ark.; son, Michael Young & his wife Karen of Rogersville, Mo.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful homemaker, a devoted wife, & loving mother and grandmother.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Wednesday, Nov.16 at 11 a.m., also at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
