Lois E. McCart, 86, Springfield, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in her home. She was born January 12, 1924 in Alexandria, Virginia, the daughter of Richard Harrinman Wheeler and Eleanor Nellie Hammersley Elsworth. Lois was a supervisor for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Lois is survived by her husband, Jim McCart; a son and his wife, Richard and Carol Stober; three grandchildren, Traci Hyde, Ken Sims and Stephanie Brinkman; and eight great-grandchildren, Kenny, Jack, Will, Grace, Kyle, Nick, Grant and Luke. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2010 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with Father Fergus Monaghan and Msgr. Thomas Reidy celebrants, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
