Lloyd Allen Rose 87, Springfield, MO passed away Monday, June 6, 2011. He was born August 2, 1923 to Herman and Elvia Rose. Lloyd was a graduate of Senior High Class 1941. He served in the United States Navy in WWII in the Western Pacific Theater. Lloyd worked as an Architectural Engineer for many years. He also owned and operated Famous Cleaners. He was a longtime member of Briar Street Baptist Church. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Earl Rose. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Rose, a son, Rick and wife Kathy, Nixa, MO; two grandchildren, the love of his life Andrew and Alyson Rose, Nixa, MO. Graveside services will be held at 10AM Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in Greenlawn Cemetery under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Briar Street Baptist Church 1361 E. Briar Street Springfield, MO 65804.
