Linda Vaughan, 80, of Springfield passed away after a long illness on August 5, 2021.  Linda lived in Springfield her entire life, graduating from Springfield (now Central) High School.  She retired from Mercy as a medical transcriptionist after 40 years of service.

Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Burnie and Eva Sheppard; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Wade Fulton and brother-in-law Bob Miller.

Linda is survived by two daughters, Penny Vaughan and Amy Austin (Eric) and her favorite granddaughter, Kate Gerhart (Alex).  Two sisters, Donna Miller and Jerri Hendrix (Larry) and a host of extended family and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at North Greenlawn Cemetery in Springfield on Friday, August 27 at 10 AM.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
