IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Ann
(Nash) Mcnary
November 24, 1961 – January 9, 2026
Linda Ann (Nash) McNary, born on November 24, 1961 in Dunklin County, Missouri, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on January 9, 2026 in Springfield, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Pauline Nash, her brother, Jesse Nash, and her sister, Terry Sue Barnett. Linda is survived by four loving daughters, Clarissa Edwards, Annaliza (Geoffrey) Setyanto, Amy DeMeritt, and Brittany (William) Treece. Ten grandchildren will hold her memory in their hearts, Nathan (Sabrina), Natalie, Noel, Niko, Alex, Kenji, Nami, Kearin, Adelyn, Lilly, and one great-grandchild, Ocean. She is cherished by her sister Wilma (Ken) Mital, brother Dr. Gerald (Mary Ann) Nash, and brother Dr. Roland (Sara) Nash. Linda's dear friends, Bernadette Bruemmer and Jeanine Dorrell, will miss her immensely. Halana and Nadia Hoyt, will hold her in their hearts, as 'mom' and 'mommom.' Many other family and friends mourn her passing and will always remember her fondly.
Linda's passions and talents were numerous and broad in nature, including gardening, genealogy, baking, crocheting, sewing, canning, music, teaching people how to cartwheel, drawing (a certain clown living on in her children's memory) and dancing. Her greatest joy and accomplishment was being a mother and grandmother.
Anyone lucky enough to know Linda can attest to the love and light she freely gave. Her home was always open for anyone who needed a place to feel safe and loved. Linda quickly became everyone's 'mom,' her home, more often than not, filled with her daughter's friends, and countless missionaries she so graciously fed and befriended. When Linda became a grandma, she stepped into the role with ease. The love she had for her grand babies was immeasurable and she always tried to find new ways to bring fun and joy to their lives. Linda spent the rest of her life playing an integral part in the raising of her grandchildren. She was a truly proud Mommom.
As Linda passed, we know she went into the loving arms of her best bud, Jesus.
A memorial service will be held in Kennett, MO on May 16, 2026, with more details to follow.
