Linda Mae Hayes, 74, Salem, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Salem Care Center.  She was born March 25, 1948 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Reuben and Vietta (Peck) Newman.  Linda worked for many years at GE in Springfield.  She loved going to play Bingo and going to garage sales.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Hayes and her daughter, Shannon Wilson.

Linda is survived by three children, Mike (Nicole) Gardner, Winlock, WA; Keith (Nikki) Gardner, Round Lake, IL; Tina (Daniel) Brown, Boulder, CO; and eight grandchildren, Brandon Baker, Andrew Gardner, Kelsi (Cameron) O'Leary, Kieli and Kaiti Gardner, Jonah (Mariea) Murray, Kenevan Murray and Keriella Brown.

UPDATE:  A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 East Seminole, Springfield, with a private burial in Selmore Cemetery, Ozark, MO.
