Linda Jean (Getz) Swords, age 81, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away August 7, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born to Frederick Getz and Marion (Brennan) Getz on February 25, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Linda is preceded in death by her father Frederick Getz, mother Marion (Brennan) Getz, and sister Virginia Getz (Gin).  She is survived by her loving husband Robert Swords, her daughter Melinda Swords Fondren (Bill) of Nashville, TN; son Robert Swords, Jr. (Stephanie) of Springfield, MO; daughter Lauren Swords Shepherd of Cleveland, MS; and granddaughters Annelise, Megana, Lara and Elizabeth Swords.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Dave Hulshof officiating under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee at a later date.  Visitation being held at Canale Funeral Home in Memphis, Tennessee to be determined.
