Linda Ellison-Adams age, 78 of Springfield, MO passed away at 12:28 PM January 17, 2022.  She loved her garden, flowers and holly trees.  She enjoyed sitting on her deck and watching the birds but despised the squirrels that ate her bird seed.  She spent countless hours at football fields, basketball courts and baseball fields watching her son, and then grandson, play sports.  Everyone in Strafford in the 80's knew the sound of her cowbell.  She loved her Strafford Indians, Willard Tigers and Kansas City Chiefs.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Mike Adams; grandson Charles Tyler "Ty Bug" Hampton; parents Charles and Bessie Ellison; brother Curtis (Dorothy) Ellison; sisters Olivett (Eugene) Hardestry, Anna Ruth (Larry) Rothwell and Bonnie (Kenneth) DeGrant; niece Karen Sikes and nephew Bill Sikes.

She is survived by son Bobby G. Hampton II of Springfield, MO; daughter-law Tammy Hampton of Springfield, MO; grandsons Bobby G. Hampton III of Arlington, VA; Cooper R. Hampton of Springfield, MO; Brian (Jessye) Fisher of Strafford, MO; and Aaron (Brandy) Fisher of Stafford, MO.  Great-grandsons Cody, J.T., Jimmy Bo, Cade, and Christopher.  Nieces and nephews Ann Warden, Thomas Ellison, Sue Hartzell, Kathryn Stegink, Kenneth DeGrant, and Bonnie Kincaid.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Hazelwood Cemetery with The Reverend Rick Flood officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation at wish.org/mokan, by calling 314-205-9474, or a check to Make-A-Wish can be given to the family to be passed on to the organization in memory of Linda.
