IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Ann
Cherry
February 27, 1947 – November 29, 2024
Linda Ann Cherry, 77 was born February 27,1947 in Amarillo, Texas and immediately adopted by Henry and Margaret Rietman and the family moved to Springfield shortly after.
Linda attended Elfindale Academy through 8th grade then attended St. Agnes High School through her junior year and graduated from Parkview High School in 1965. She moved to Denver and started her career in banking then moved back to Springfield and married Michael Cherry in 1969. Once in Springfield Linda continued her banking career and held management positions with several banks retiring in 1986.
She volunteered with Crosslines helping the food bank area, but her big love was helping set up and running the Christmas toy store for Crosslines.
Linda's biggest thrill was finding her birth family in Denver, Colorado in 2014. She was proud to have a brother and two sisters. They quickly became very close and visited each other on several occasions.
She had some health issues the last several years and bravely fought through them. Linda passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 surrounded by her family.
If you asked anyone that knew her what they remembered most about her, they would say her infectious laugh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Michael Patrick Cherry; brother, Jerry Fox; sister, Brenda Brickler and All of the Cherry family.
