Lillian Alberta Duncan, 85, received her new home, January 5, 2013. She was born in Mt. Vernon, MO, March 27, 1927. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, William Blaine and Bessie Renfro; sisters, Elsie Patterson, Winnie Small, Mildred Hoosier, Leona Starks, Gladys Jones; brother, Hollis Renfro; daughter, Betsy Duncan; son, Robert Norris Duncan, Sr; and granddaughter, Yvette Reese. She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Duncan; daughters, Frances Stafford (Gary), Charlotte Warren, Deborah Bedell and Lynnette McDonald, all of Springfield, MO; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11 am in Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church, 600 N. Benton. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
