Leroy Ochs, 85, died on July 27, 2016 in Springfield, MO. He was born on May 7, 1931 in Susank, KS to Ed and Ida Ochs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and six sisters. He is survived by three sons, Terry and wife Brenda of Springfield, MO, Steve and wife Jerolyn of Louisville, CO, and Greg and wife Linda of Lee's Summit, MO, four grandsons and three step-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Walter Ochs of Garden City, KS, and sisters Barbara Petr of Blue Rapids, KS and Wilma Guy of Longmont, CO.

Leroy married Marcella Frank in Garden City, KS on June 12, 1955, who survives him. After graduating from high school, he was drafted into the United States Army and served in Korea. Upon completion of his service, he enrolled in Garden City Community College, graduating with a degree in business administration. He retired from Northwest Central Pipeline Corporation after 31 years of service, at which time he and Marcella moved to Warsaw, MO to pursue his passion for fishing.

Leroy was a survivor. His sense of humor and deep faith in God carried him through many crises.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at Wesley UMC. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, KS on Monday, August 1st at 11 am
