Leota Mae Miller, 88 of Springfield, MO passed away October 1, 2015 at Mercy Villa. She was born February 1, 1927 the daughter of Otis and Mary (Pitts) Miller in Blackwell, OK. Leota enjoyed traveling and especially loved her trips to Washington D.C., Hawaii, The Great Smoky Mountains, Grand Tetons and Western and Eastern Canada. She was a member of Monett American Legion Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Ruby Comb and Connie Nichols; and brother Earl Miller. Leota is survived by sister Marilynn Charlton, Springfield, MO; brothers Bobby Miller, Buffalo, MO and Lloyd Miller, Medford, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will truly be missed by all. The family would like to offer a special "thanks" to Mercy Villa for their care and support to Leota in the past two years. Graveside Services will be held Monday, October 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, MO under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
