Leona Mae Reed, 87 of Branson, MO passed away suddenly on December 13, 2013 at Cox Medical Health Center in Springfield, MO. She is the daughter of Israel James and Edith Bale. Leona was born in Morrisville, PA and graduated from Morrisville High School . After business school she worked as a bookkeeper and retired after 30 years with Winans McShane Paper & Packaging, New Brunswick, NJ. Leona and Carl moved to Branson in 1997. She enjoyed gardening and decorating, but enjoyed her family most of all. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Reed; her parents; brother, Joseph George Skirim of Lehighton, PA; and sister, Ethel Bleasdale of Levittown, PA. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Zurzolo of Branson, MO; grandchildren, Melissa Keppley, Thomas Sattazahn and his wife, Renae and Candice Johnson; 8 great- grandchildren; nieces, Sharon & Jeff Licht of Myrtle Beach, SC and Carol & Rick Janssens; and nephew, Charles Bleasdale of Bensalem, PA. A graveside service will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2 pm, with Pastor Neil Franks officiating. Online condolences may be made at gormanscharpf.com.
