Leland D. Phillips, 84, of Springfield passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 in his home. He was born on February 10, 1928 in Jefferson City to Jasper Leonard and Mary Martha (Rush) Phillips. Leland is survived by sons, Leland Phillips Jr. and Jeffrey Phillips; daughters, Marty Fredrick, Susan Gilbert, Becky Ethridge and Mindy Phillips; brother, Don Phillips; thirteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. in Seminole Baptist Church, 4221 S. National, Springfield, MO 65810. Memorial contributions may be made to Chub O'Reilly Cancer Center, Attn.
