Leah Rae Wreath, daughter of Reverend Roger Valentine and Janet Rae House Wreath, was born August 30, 1969 in Albany, Missouri and departed this life June 4, 2009, at her apartment in Springfield at the age of 39 years 10 months. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Lena Wreath of Bolivar; and Franklin and Maxine House of Kansas; and one brother, David Roger Wreath. Leah is survived by her parents; two brothers, Scott Bernard Wreath, Springfield, and Bryan Logan Wreath and his wife, Terri, Kimberling City; one niece, Hannah Valentine Wreath also of Springfield; and many other friends and relatives. Leah attended grade school in Tarkio and Trenton, Missouri and high school in Kimberling City and Springfield. She was a member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church. Leah enjoyed working with children and never met a stranger. While living in St. Louis, she was employed at the St. Louis Zoo as Security and in Food Service. In Springfield she worked at Schweitzer Preschool and volunteered at Wonders of Wildlife, Juanita K. Hammons Performing Arts and the Library Center. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009 in Schweitzer United Methodist Church with the Reverend Lori Lampert officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Bolivar, Missouri. A memorial has been established at Schweitzer United Methodist Church Children's Educational Department.
