Obituary

Lawrence Garson Lillich, age 83, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on November 18, 2024. Larry was born on October 30, 1941, on a small farm in St. Francis, Kansas. He was the youngest child of Ernst and Dorothy (Tilzey) Lillich. After briefly attending Kansas State University, Larry proudly served in the United States Army. On February 21, 1970, he married Connie S. Stone. They were blessed to have 3 children. Larry was an outstanding realtor in Colorado and became the dedicated owner of Hammer's Autoworks in Springfield Missouri from 1980 to 2005. Larry genuinely valued the people he worked with and the customers he was able to help throughout his lifetime.

Larry had a great appreciation for the wheat fields in Kansas and the breathtaking mountains of Colorado. One of his greatest pleasures in life was welcoming family and friends for his personal tours in the high country. Larry was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos. He enjoyed hunting with his family and close friends. Larry was a passionate reader all his life. He always had a great interest in geology. When he started discovering more about rocks and dinosaurs, he was enthusiastic to learn as much as possible. He dearly loved making new friends that shared their common interests at the Rock Club and the Missouri Institute of Natural Science. Larry also loved a good steak, Lemon Meringue Pie, "Jeremiah Johnson" and lots of laughter.

Larry was fully devoted to his three wonderful children. He was always eager to spend time with them and wanted to encourage and support his children in every possible way. He worked hard and was an incredible provider for his family. Larry was generous and kind-hearted to everyone.

Larry is survived by his son, Nathaniel (Nate) Garson Lillich and his stepdaughter, Jennifer Anne Moore; and numerous family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Matthew Landon Lillich, his 3 siblings and their spouses, along with many other cherished family members and friends.

Larry's family will schedule a visitation in January following the holiday.
