Lavern Edward Waigand, 87, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in the Mt. Vernon, Missouri Veteran's Home. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Noland). Lavern grew up in Mascoutah and Lebanon, Illinois. There will be no visitation. Services will be held at St. Agnes Cathedral Friday, June 29 at 10:00 am with burial in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield Missouri. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the St. Agnes Elementary School.
