Springfield – Lavanna Nash passed away Sunday, November 12, after a short illness.  She was born on December 26, 1935, in Colon, Nebraska to John J. and Amelia (Jurgens) Pekarek.

Lavanna was preceded in death by her husband, Dorman Nash; her parents; brothers, John J. (infant brother), Ronald, Emmett (Mutt), and Lawrence (Larry); and sisters, Doris Meekins and Bernice Stone.

She is survived by her brothers, Herman, Statesville, NC and John, Marshfield, MO as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will begin at 10:15 AM on Thursday, November 16 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Springfield with funeral Mass immediately following at 10:30.   A burial will follow at Marshfield Cemetery, Marshfield, MO.

Friends may call from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 15, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
