Laura Louise Ledford, 61, of Springfield, MO passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on August 28th, 2022 in her home lovingly surrounded by family.

She was born the daughter of Linda Newman and Robert Lockard in Santa Ana, California. Shortly after High School, she met and fell in love with David Ledford.
They spent several years in Big Bear Lake before they decided to move to the Midwest in 1989 where they raised a family in Nixa, MO. Time flies when you are having fun, so after 27 years together, they decided to get married on May 20th, 2006 giving them 43 years of a love that only grew stronger as the years passed.

Throughout her years, Laura enjoyed meeting new people, making lots of friends, loving on grandkids, painting, baking cakes, and doing anything she could to help anyone out. She loved the Lord and loved serving breakfast to the youth where she attended The Bridge church for many years. She always had a smile on her face and was the definition of optimistic. She didn't know any other way than to work hard and taught everyone around her how to have good work ethic. Last but not least, she was the most loving and dedicated wife and mother always making sure everyone's needs were taken care of before her own.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother Ester Vera Banks Johnson and her Grandfather James Edward Navin.

She is survived by her husband David Allen Ledford of Springfield, MO. Her mother, Linda Newman. Her daughters Cheyanne Ledford, Tina Ledford, Breanne Stewart-son in law Josh Stewart, Ashley Collins-son in law Kem Collins and her son Lance Ledford- daughter in law Emily Ledford. Her sisters Dawna Dobson and Teresa Robison. Her grandchildren Dylan Ackerman and Brooklyn Scheidt , Alana Chester, Gaven, Kai, and Kora Lane, Jude, Lila, Gwyn and Ruby Stewart. Dawson, Miles and Emmitt Collins. Phinley and Koen Ledford.

Services will be held on Friday, September 2nd, 2022 11:00 am at James River West campus in the Youth Sanctuary.
