Larry Donzell (Woody) Garrison passed away May 29, 2017 on his 74th Birthday. He was born on May 29, 1943 to Dan and Ruby Garrison.  Larry met the love of his life Shirley Climer and they were married on November 15, 1963.

Larry began his many years in the tile business working with his dad before starting his own company, Larry Garrison Tile, where he then taught his son and trained many other friends and family.  He worked hard and took pride in his craftsmanship.

Larry enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family.  He loved being at the lake and walking the deer woods.  Oh, the stories he could tell!

Larry loved his Lord. He studied and lived by scripture and knew the power of prayer.  He was active in church and influenced many lives.  Larry loved to sing. He always had a smile on his face, a song in his heart and a joke to tell.  He was gifted with the ability to greet everyone with a joke and leave you with a smile.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 ½ years, Shirley; his son Curtis Garrison and wife Stephanie; his daughter Teri Wingo and husband Tyler; 5 grandchildren Taner, Justin and Caleb Garrison, Trenton and Tessa Wingo; and 1 great-granddaughter Carlie Garrison . Also surviving are s ister Donna Yates and brother Richard Garrison; aunts Judy and Wanda; many loving nieces, nephews and amazing friends.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents Dan and Ruby Garrison; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Bob Rogers; and brother- in- law Larry Yates; 7 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law from the Climer family.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield First Freewill Baptist Church, 2635 W. Nichols in Springfield, MO under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Steele Memorial Cemetery in Hartville, MO.  Visitation will be Friday June 2, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
