IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Landon Mitchell
Smith
March 6, 1990 – January 11, 2024
In this game of life, Landon Mitchell Smith leveled up on January 11, 2024. Landon loved to dig deep into the Bible and he was 100% certain that he would spend eternity with his Lord and Savior.
Landon was born March 6, 1990 in Springfield, MO to Timm and Janice Smith. Landon spent his entire life fighting serious asthma. He refused to be defined by it but succumbed to it in the end.
Landon leaves behind a tribe of family and friends who loved him dearly. His parents Timm & Janice (Bush) Smith, his siblings Logan, Layton & Lydia Smith, grandparents George & Linda Bush & Kay Smith, nephews Jett & Jaxon Lyytinen, nieces Temple Smith & Hazel Brewer. Aunts and Uncles Greg Bush, Amy Bush, Greg & Stephanie (Bush) Kellogg, Todd & Ali Smith, Justin Washburn. Cousins Pierson & Mallory Kellogg, Maya Kellogg, Drew Kellogg, Mitchell Kellogg, Abby Bush, Grant Bush, Armelle & Jody (Smith) Harper, Reagan Washburn, William Washburn. Landon was preceded in death by his Grandfather Bill Smith and his Aunt Tiffany (Smith) Washburn.
Landon was a giver. After a mission trip to Belize when he was 18, he said it changed him forever. It indeed had a profound impact on him. He was content having only the essentials. With the ending of his life, he gave the ultimate gift to others through live organ donation. He would want us to encourage everyone to go to Mid-America Transplant's website and fill out the simple form to become a live organ donor, in his honor.
Landon's love was big and loud. He loved his family and he considered his friends part of his family. He loved the NBA, specifically his Milwaukee Bucks. His love for fringe topics was unmatched. Arguing facts with him was setting yourself up for failure. He was a rabid consumer of information and seemed to have the superpower of retaining everything he learned.
There will be a Celebration of Landon's Life on his 34th Birthday, March 6, 2024. Details to be announced on Facebook.
A Go Fund Me account has been established in Landon's honor with proceeds going towards a memorial gift to Mid-America Transplant and additional expenses ( https://gofund.me/e81827c3 ).
