Kimberly Shawn Hensley Burney of Springfield died February 18, 2014 at home. Kim was born May 15, 1961 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, arriving 7 minutes after her twin sister, Michelle. Kim graduated from El Reno High School in 1978, then Burge School of Nursing, later receiving her BSN from SBU. Kim was a critical care nurse for 30 years at Cox Hospital where she lovingly cared for all her patients. Kim was preceded in death by her wonderful and giving dad Jimmy Lee Hensley and baby brother Michael James Hensley. Kim leaves behind to cherish her precious memory her loving mother, Patricia Hensley; her twin sister, Michelle Hensley; and her sister, Caroline Hensley McMahan and husband Dan McMahan. The joys of her life were her nephew, Michael and nieces, Rebecca and Catherine and her doggie children Milly, MayMay, and Schubert. She is also survived by her husband, Jerry Burney. Kim is also survived by a loving extended family and cherished friends. Cremation has been accorded. Graveside services will be at Danforth Cemetery, February 28, 2014 at 11 am.
