Kimberly Ruth Bell passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016.

She grew up and attended high school in Ozark, MO. Kim graduated from what was then Southwest Missouri State University in 1987. As a student, she worked part-time in the Office of Admissions where she earned the respect and appreciation of the staff for her dedication, hard work and attention to detail. Shortly after her graduation, she accepted a full-time position in the Records Office. Through her continued good work, she quickly moved up the ranks, serving as Assistant Director of Records and Registration from 1991 to 1994, Director of Records and Registration from 1994 to 2002, Registrar from 2002 to 2006, and Enrollment Services Systems Coordinator from 2006 to present. Kim was known to all with whom she worked for her unsurpassed knowledge of University systems, policies, and procedures and also for her passion for and dedication to the University and its people.

Kim was survived by two sons, Andrew and Alex and their father, Tom Bell; mother, Lynn Vest; father, Ralph Vest; brother, John Vest. She is also survived by close friend, Gary Steele, as well as many close friends and extended family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 3 to 6:00 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org
