Obituary

Keyshawn Amaré Jackson, 16 Springfield, MO. Son of Jerome and Lesa Jackson was born August 7, 2000 in Springfield, MO at St. Johns Hospital. Departed this earth on April 28th, 2017.

Keyshawn Jackson grew up in Springfield , MO and attended Kickapoo High School where he maintained the A and B Honor Roll.

He obtained his first job at Mexican Villa South. He enjoyed making his family and friends laugh with his funny jokes and dance moves. He picked up his first basketball and football when he was 5 years old  and became known as " The Beast" on the football field and the basketball court. He had several coaches and mentors who became his extended family on the basketball court to include Ambush, Mokan, MBA, Moflight, Assualt, and the Gorrillas. He aspired to play college sports and one day play at a professional level.

Keyshawn Jackson was preceded in death by his father Jerome Jackson.

He is survived by his loving mother Lesa Jackson, twin sister Katrice Jackson as well as his older sister and brother Charisse Armstrong and Wayne Jackson Jr. all of Springfield, MO; his grandparents Terry and Francine Jackson, of South Carolina; his nieces and nephews Camaré, McKenna, Brinley, Bryan and Kyrese; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Keyshawn was a loving son and cherished his family. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Keyshawn knew the feeling of warmth that came from his beautiful smile and big heart. Keyshawn will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at James River Church in the Youth Building under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
