Kevin Edward Wilson, 68 of Springfield passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.  He was born November 3, 1954 to Jack E. and Betty Louise (Hutcheson) Wilson in Springfield, Missouri.

He graduated from Kickapoo High School and enjoyed working at The Springfield Workshop for 37 years. He attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church with his parents. He competed in the Special Olympics for many years. He also held the record for the biggest fish caught in Stockton Lake.

Kevin was a happy person who loved his family, the Arkansas Razorbacks, Kansas City Chiefs, Kraft Caramels, queso and his birds, Max and Missy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Hill.

Kevin is survived by his brother-in-law, Pete Hill; niece, Jodi Ashworth and husband, Daniel; great nieces and nephews, Jake, Maddie and Sophie Ashworth, and a great-great-niece, Colbie.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 1PM in Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home. Private family burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery next to his parents.  No formal visitation is planned.
