Kenneth C. Wintermantel, 92, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Maranatha Village. He was born on December 12, 1925 in St. Louis, son of Walter and Matilda Boehm Wintermantel. Following his marriage to Norma Little, he spent his career with the US Postal Service. He was a member of Campbell UMC, American Legion, and loved pitching horseshoes, fishing, boating, and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son, Michael Jim Wintermantel. He is survived by his son, Richard (Jolee) Wintermantel of Birmingham, AL; daughter-in-law, Joan Wintermantel of Columbus, OH; 6 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, with the Reverend Cliff Rawley officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until the time of service. Burial with full military honors will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Campbell UMC.
