IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Lee
Vogelmann
September 9, 1944 – February 10, 2019
Kenneth Lee Vogelmann passed away on February 10, 2019, surrounded by family and friends. In one breath he was with his earthly family, and in the next, he was with his Lord and Savior. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and we rejoice that one day we will be together again.
Ken loved his family dearly. He was a kind, loving and generous man supporting people and organizations quietly and compassionately. He found beauty in small things – feeding birds, playing cards with friends, restoring pocket watches, he loved his church and Sunday School class at Second Baptist and traveling the world. Ken could fix just about anything and took pride in a job well done. He was an entrepreneur and built a successful business that thrives after 40 years.
Ken is survived by his wife Louann, his children Jennifer St. Clair and LeeAnn Kluth, his beloved grandchildren Alexis Kluth, Emma Kluth and Tate St. Clair, his brother Joseph "Charge" Fabritore and sister Jill D'Angelis.
He was born September 9, 1944, in Riverside, New Jersey to Bernice Elizabeth Fenimore and Kenneth Schuyler Vogelmann and grew up in Ewansville, NJ. When Bernice remarried, Ken called his step-father Joseph Fabritore "Pop." He joined the Navy in 1964 and served on the U.S.S. Walker during Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1966.
Returning home he attended Central Methodist University in Fayette Missouri majoring in Economics. A lifetime of love began with a laugh. When Ken heard Louann's laughter, he told a friend he wanted to date her, and 47 years later they were still madly in love.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, February 15, 2019 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home. Private family interment will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family asks that people support Grand Oak Baptist Mission Center, 2854 Grand St, Springfield, MO 65802.
