Kenneth Paul Snider, 77, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his home. He was born on March 9, 1947, the son of Harry Joseph Snider and Ella Rae (Fender) Snodgrass.

Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded a Purple Heart. He later worked for many years as a machine operator for the Solo Cup Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Snider, and his sister, Sue Scott.

Ken is survived by his wife, Carol (Petersen) Snider; daughters, Christy J. Snider and Trish L. Kline; son, Paul J. Snider; brothers, Marvin Davidson, Keith Davidson, Larry Davidson, Robert Norman, and Richard Norman; grandchildren, Louis Durand, Andre Durand, Madison Snider, Will Snider, and Maxwell Snider; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 12, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project , P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
