IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Wayne
Polodna
March 26, 1939 – May 9, 2025
Kenneth Wayne Polodna was born in Karlan, Missouri, on March 26, 1939, to Louis and Christine Polodna. They moved to Springfield when Kenneth was a year old. Kenneth later married Wanda Louise McVay on September 2, 1961, and on September 26, 1962 a son named Timothy Wayne was born.
Kenneth was employed by both MFA Packing and City Utilities, and retired in 2000. Kenneth enjoyed his retirement, spending time with his two grandchildren, Josef Louis, and Jakob Hunter, riding his motorcycle with his friends, and time on his pontoon boat fishing with family. Kenneth and Wanda traveled to Europe twice during their lives, and had some of their best adventures there.
Kenneth attended Springfield Parishes and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Springfield. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Wanda, his son, Tim, and grandsons Josef and Jakob, sisters Diane Hays and Linda Lindsay.
Visitation will be at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a mass at 10:00 a.m. There will be a dinner held for family and friends after mass.
