April 5, 1933 – September 25, 2024
Kenneth Cameron Crosby was born April 5, 1933, in Dearborn, Michigan. He passed peacefully on September 25th, 2024, at Cox South Hospital, surrounded by loving family members.
Ken lived a great life. He graduated from Henry Fords " Edison Institute" high school in 1951 in Michigan, and from Albion college in Michigan. It was there where it met his future wife, Nancy. He was drafted into the Army from 1952-1954 and stationed at Fort Leonard, Missouri during the Korean War and in France, as the Army of Occupation. He then returned to graduate from Albion in 1957. He and Nancy returned to Detroit, worked for a couple companies and settled at General Motors, in the motors Holding Division. He worked there until he retired.
Kens' loves, besides his family, were golf, tennis, playing cards, reading, and more GOLF! He also really enjoyed traveling to foreign countries and boating. He especially liked to vacation with friends down at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents Edna and Russell Crosby, his sister Nancy and brother-in-law Bill Coughenhour.
Ken is survived by his love and devoted wife of 69 years of marriage Nancy, their children Mike, Bill (Lisa) and Carol Hardesty (Scott). Ken was an amazing Grandfather to Paul, Lauren, Shannon (Allen Vo), Jesse (Sami), Jake (Hannah), Ally and Scott Jr. He was fortunate to know and love 5 great-grandchildren; Matt, Madison, Calihan, Carlin and Covington. Ken adored his nephews Glenn (Marianne) and Paul (Debbie) and James Coughenhour.
Services will be held on Friday, October 11th at 1:00pm with the Honor Guard at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. Following those services will be a Celebration of Life from 2:00pm -5:00pm at Twin Oaks Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association for research at https://act.alz.org/site/Donation2?df_id=51079&51079.donation=form1&mfc_pref=T&gad_source=1
