Kenneth L. Cleeton Jr. passed away November 4, peacefully at home while napping. He was born in Chicago, Ill., in 1952. He attended Proviso East High School and Baptist Bible College. He was a man who was honest, fair and hard working. Ken had some misfortunes, but never once did he complain, and never could it derail his passion for living life with friends and family. Ken is finally walking with God, but knowing him he's running. We will miss him very much and are comforted by the joy he brought to so many people. Ken is survived by his daughter, Sunny Cleeton; son Richmond Cleeton; mother Audrey Smid and Al Smid; his father, Ken Cleeton Sr. and Norma Cleeton; and his brothers, Jimmy and Eddy Cleeton and their wives and children. He is also survived by a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Association. Funeral services will take place Monday, November 9, at 2 p.m., in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
