Kenneth R. Browning, age 63, passed from this life on June 2, 2025 in his home. Ken was born in Springfield, MO to Ronald and Carolyn (Gaunt) Browning on Sept. 7, 1961. Ken graduated in 1979 from Parkview High School and attended S.M.S. for a short time. Later on he furthered his education, attending Evangel University during his career at the Springfield Police Department. Ken was a third degree blackbelt in Hapkido. He loved going to the gym, running and biking.

Ken spent 8 years as a Medic in the United States Army and had the honor of being selected to be in the Old Guard in Washington, D.C. during the Clinton administration. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he applied to the Springfield Police Department and was accepted and spent 20 years serving and protecting our city, afterwards retiring to spend time with his family.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Browning.

He is survived by the love of his life for 32 years, Amy Browning; daughter, Brittany Baxter (Jacob); son, Christian "Mack" Browning (Morgan); sister, Kelly Wittrock (Tom); mother, Carolyn Gillham and grandchildren Hayden and Winnie Baxter and Ellie Browning.

Private services with military honors for Kenneth were held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
