Kennalou Reaves O'Reilly, age 91 of Springfield, MO passed away May 21, 2016 in the Manor at Elfindale.
Mother, wife, friend to many and retail saleswoman.
"A woman of beauty who created beauty all around her."
Kennalou was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Springfield and was a former member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She was also a member of Twin Oaks and Highland Springs Country Clubs, Elks Lodge #409 (C.H. O'Reilly). Kennalou was part of the private supper clubs in Springfield and was in the "Kilties" Drum Corp in high school.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William (Bill) W. Reaves, Jr.; husband of 9 years, Charles (Chub) O'Reilly; sister and brother-in-law Jane and Jack Hammond and nephew, Ken Hammond, of Poteau, OK; brother, Rex White; parents and countless friends.
Kennalou is survived by her son and his lifetime partner, Mark William Reaves and Jeanne Roy of Pomona, CA; nieces, Kennalou (Kay) Brown, Springfield, MO and Kimberly Campbell, Irvine, CA; nephew, Randall Reaves, Washington, D.C. and siblings; close friend and caretaker, Bettie MacAndrews, Springfield, MO; step-family, Charles and Mary Beth O'Reilly, Rosalie Wooten, Larry O'Reilly and David O'Reilly, Springfield, MO; as well as extended O'Reilly family.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Karilee Curtis, the caretaker from Integrity and the staff of the Manor at Elfindale.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with Msgr. Thomas E. Reidy celebrant. Burial at Hazelwood Cemetery will follow reception at church. No visitation is scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, 620 W. Republic Rd., Springfield, MO 65807, or the Charity of the donor's choice in Kennalou's name.
