Kelsie Christine Smith, 27, of Springfield, MO passed away March 16, 2021. Kelsie was born October 6, 1993 in Blue Springs, MO to her parents Eddie and Karen Smith. Kelsie suffered a long battle of addiction but unfortunately could not fight any longer.

From a young age, Kelsie was an outstanding gymnast, dancer and free spirit. Kelsie went on to dance for the Glendale High School dance team. After high school, Kelsie went to OTC and took culinary classes and enjoyed spending her time in the kitchen. Not only did she like to cook, but she also liked to eat. Some of her favorite things to eat were her dad's famous biscuits and gravy, pickles and hot fries. Kelsie loved drawing, hanging out with family and friends, doing her makeup and anytime you saw her she probably had a different hair color. Kelsie enjoyed simple things like sitting on the couch watching her favorite show, Jerry Springer, driving around listening to music and journaling. Her infectious laugh and bright smile will forever be missed.

She was preceded in death by her Father Eddie Smith; Grandpa Robert Rushin; Grandpa Gary Smith; and her cousin Bryce Crews.

Kelsie is survived by her mother Karen Smith; sister Keelie Smith; her grandmas Becky Rushin and Judy Smith; her aunts Cindy Ferguson, Vicki Rushin, Janet Crews, Janice Schaefer, Jocelyn Smith; uncles Chris Crews, Gary Ferguson, Jerry Schaefer, Danny Smith; Cousins Brandon and his wife Amanda Crews, their 3 children, Kayden, Carli and Kollin Crews; Kimberly Hewitt, Justin Hewitt, Zach and Maggie Hewitt and their son Carson Hewitt; Lindsey Crews, Levi Crews; Amanda Schaefer, Jeremy Schaefer; Angela Rhyne; Dylan Smith, Jordan Smith.

Kelsie Smith's services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 6:30 pm with a visitation to follow.
