Keith Warren Englis was born June 19, 1952 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Earl and Helen (Hatfield) Englis. He graduated from Arkansas City High School and then served in the Vietnam war aboard the USS Hull.

Keith made a career in telecommunications, spending 25 years with Bell/At&t. Along the way he took a break and became an R. N. After 2 years in nursing, he went back to telephone work, eventually working in the TelComm department at Missouri State University for seven years until his retirement in 2014.

In 1985 Keith married Christie Forgey, and in 1987 they welcomed their son, Joshua Ray Englis. In addition to spending time with Christie and Josh, Keith enjoyed fishing, building remote-controlled airplanes, and woodworking. He became a Christian when he was in the Navy and was a member of South Haven Baptist Church.

Keith passed away on December 14, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by Christie, Josh and his wife Sarah (Brannock) Englis, of Springfield.
