On July 24, 2026, Katie Keohane passed away at the age of 56. She will forever be remembered by her mother Ann Keohane, her sister, Beth Pottios, brother-in-law Pete Pottios, and her nieces and nephews Ray Pottios, Annie Pottios, Jonas Keohane, and Sarah Fleming. She was preceded in death by her father Patrick W. Keohane, and her brothers Kevin, John and Eddie Keohane.

Katie was a bright light and led an amazing life always providing unwavering support to friends and family. She grew up in a home full of love, laughter and lots of fun. She was the third of five children. She lived in many different cities across the country due to her father’s career as a Federal Warden. She was a genuine, caring person to all who knew her and easily made friends. Like her Father and other family members, she worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for nearly 30 years. She was an amazing daughter, sister and friend. Always providing humor and displaying loyalty to everyone. Katie loved spending time with her frenchie Lucy, and her family, especially her mom, sister, and brother Kevin, whom she helped provide daily care for at the end of his life.

The funeral arrangements will be handled by Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home 1947 E. Seminole Street, Springfield, Missouri 65804. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 10th at 12:00 pm at St. Joseph the Worker, Ozark, Missouri, and she will be laid to rest following at Resurrection Cemetery.
